Oh You Beautiful Doll!

I think I'll be finding feathers in the studio for weeks after this session {and I will giggle every time I pick one up because I will be remembering the laughs we shared}.  We had lots of fun with this little beauty and her big sister.  With 9 month olds, you just never know how hard you're going to have to work but this little Miss was keeping that smile on her face.  What a sweetie!

Bring on the seasons!

A couple of years ago I had a client suggest putting together a package that included a session in each of the 4 seasons and since then I have been tossing the idea around.  What a great way to document a year in the life of your family!  You may remember my fall blog post of the family below.  I was {and still am} so in love with that session that I thought I would see if they would be interested in coming back to complete the 4 seasons session so that I could put together some products to go along with it.  I am so excited about their first two sessions that I am already planning their keepsake book and some wall portraits!  I can't wait to put together their spring and summer sessions in the coming months.  Thank you so much, for taking time out of your busy schedule to help me with some marketing and product planning, I hope you are enjoying the images as much as I am!

To start planning your family's 4 season session, just give me a call!  The great thing about it is that it is ALWAYS a great time to start.

For all you parents out there...

I LOVE talking with people about what I do and about using photographs to help preserve family memories so I am SO pleased to have this event coming together:

We all know how important it is to have our cameras out while we make memories with our families.  Sometimes we get great shots and other times, not so much.  Ever wonder why?  Wonder how to get those great ones more consistently?  Just want to understand more of how your camera works?  Or what to do with the images once you've captured them?  Join me Saturday, April 13th for a morning of learning exactly those things!

We will go over some camera basics so you understand how to use it and how it 'thinks' (not camera specific so bring your point & shoot or your DSLR no matter the make or model).  We'll also talk about composition, finding light and great surroundings, and more!

In the afternoon we'll meet back up to talk specifically about DSLR cameras and learn about exposure settings.

At the end of each segment, we'll take our cameras out for a little practice.

Space is limited so call soon to make your reservation.  Class fees need to be paid in advance so have your credit card ready when you call.  I can't wait to see you next month!

Back to blogging!

It seems like forever since I last blogged!  Let me assure you that I've been busy, in fact, there has been so much going on both at JP Studio and at the Jungling house that I just hadn't had time to share any of that day-to-day.  But, I'm back and I have lots to share over the next few days so be sure to stay tuned.

First off, I had a sweet curly topped little beauty in the studio last week.  She just turned two and she is one happy, spunky, busy little thing.  She was so interested in everything she saw and just had to investigate.  Two is my favorite age for exactly that reason!  We were changing chairs and props to whatever she was running off to check out just to keep her in the light.  Just before we were done, she spotted my antique camera.  She was so thrilled that she actually got to hold it.

I just love that sweet face and those curls!

And the timing of those camera pics couldn't be more perfect for pulling together some marketing for the very first "how to" class hosted by Jungling Photography!  I am so excited to share the details with you about "How to Take Better Images of Your Kids" class being held on April 13th.  I'll share more on that tomorrow.
