Hockey Senior...

Spencer came to me over the winter break while he was home for the holidays.  He lives out of state to play hockey so we really hoped for snow for the outdoors part of his session.  We got so lucky to have pretty snow as well as a somewhat warm, still day and a few flurries to add to the effect.

Spencer's sister was also along so we had her get into a few once we got back to the studio.  They had GREAT {and typical} interactions.  It was so fun that we got some silly as well as sweet sibling moments for them.

Winter Senior

Yes, I'm still photographing seniors for the class of 2013!  And it has been great to be out playing in the snow {although, I would have been happier if there had been a few more degrees on the thermometer}.    Mark came in just before Christmas for his session.  We started out in the studio that morning before going outside, hoping that it would warm up just a bit more.  We didn't linger in any of our spots and I thought he did a great job of trying not to look as cold as I'm sure he was.

The season for this class is pretty much done, just down to selecting yearbook submissions and designing announcements, guest books and banners for the up-coming celebrations.  The class of 2013 has been a very impressive bunch of young people!  I'm excited to meet the class of 2014 in just a few short months.

A new life to start the new year...

Happy New Year!  I hope you had a happy and wonder-filled Christmas and New Year celebration.  I for one, am very much excited for what 2013 is going to bring!  I already have some exciting events on my calendar, including my first Bridal show that will be in Manchester, IA later this month.  Lots of great new products in the works for this year too that I'll be rolling out over the next few weeks.

Since this is my first blog of the new year, I thought it was so fitting that it featured new baby, Emma.  She was born just before Christmas {is there anything more sweet than a new baby at Christmas time?  Maybe I just feel that way because my own babies were born in that season}.  She is tiny and precious and simply beautiful!

Special thanks to BabyTime for letting me borrow the tutu dress!  She has others in lots of sizes as well as other great baby items so stop in to see if if you haven't already.

Emma is {welcomed} by a big brother- although when it came time to lay with her for pictures, he seemed less than impressed.
