Sweet baby girl & her adoring brother

This little one sure is loved!  I can already see that her big brother is going to take very good care of her.

She was simply perfect.  She only needed a couple of little breaks to eat and to get a dry blanket under her.  Once she was ready to sack out I moved in to get some sweet, snuggly poses.

Such a little love!  I could have cuddled and played all day long.  Love those new little ones.

After the rain...

Kelli's session was interrupted by rain :(.  We had started in the studio and got some fun stuff there and were really excited to get outside for some more fun image creating.  When we packed up, I opened the door and saw rain drops!  So disappointing when we were already on such a great roll.  So we rescheduled that portion of her senior portraits so that (fingers crossed) we could have drier weather and possibly some sunset lighting.  Boy did that work in her favor!  She came to part 2 of her session with her hair different and the weather could not have been more gorgeous!  We spent so much more time than we would have on the original date and I completely got carried away and took SO many more images than usual (Sorry, Kelly, you are going to have some tough choices to make when ordering time comes).  Besides the fact that she is totally adorable, Kelly is as sweet as she looks and I had a great time with her and her mom (both days).  Here is your sneak, I'll be in touch next week about the rest of your proofs.  Enjoy!

Boy, oh boy, oh busy boy

A short sweet little post to end my day on.  You all know how I love catching up on families each time I get to see them.  This little guy just turned two and he is one busy little man!  Portraits were not exactly the first thing on his agenda last Wednesday.  But he did share a few smiles and giggles with me and his parents.

The very lovely Kara...

I am swooning over Kara's senior portraits!  Aside from being a little on the chilly side, we could not have asked for a better evening to wander around town and let her shine for the camera.  And shine, she did!

Thank you for spending your evening with me!  I can't wait to show you the rest of your portraits very soon.  I'll leave you with one more sneak from the studio...

Samantha had a very lucky session!

For Sammi, everything just kind of happened, fell into place, worked out perfect.  She wanted to do something with graffiti so I found a wall while out on a different session and the colors just happened to PERFECTLY match her shirt!  Pretty cool!  Then as we were finishing up, a couple of really beautiful vintage trucks just happened to park right by us and the owners were nice enough to let her pose beside one of them.  And the lighting at the time was absolutely perfect.  I don't think we could have asked for things to go any better.  It was a very fun and surprising senior session and a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon with her and her mom.  Thanks for sharing your time with me! I feel pretty lucky.

Meet Cara...

I had so much fun with Cara and her mom last weekend!  I know them from our church but the session gave me a chance to get to know them better.  I love that sharing an experience like a senior session gives me that opportunity to know people on a more personal level.  I am never disappointed in what I learn, this girl is as sweet and lovely on the inside as she is on the out.  I think that both her inner and outer beauty shines through the lens!

Thanks for spending the morning with me!  I hope all went well with your band event in the afternoon.

Love, love, love this session!

This is exactly what I wish for as a portrait of my own family!  It would be a dream come true for me to have everyone looking so nice and loving and making great connections with each other and the camera so that I could COVER my walls in BIG, beautiful portraits.  I love this location, I have been using it a lot lately and I was so sad to go there on Saturday to find they had mowed down this lovely grass.  At least I got to do this wonderful family's session there, what a great one to end on!

We were also there to mark Miss E's 10th month so here she is in all her cuteness!

I still have weekday evenings available if you'd like to get a session in with the fall colors that are starting to show.  Be sure to call soon for the best selection!

Catching up on some sneaks...

Whew!  What a busy couple of weeks!  I have had 4 seniors, one engagement and three families come see me in the last 10 days!  So, needless to say I need to get some sneak peeks up for everyone to see.

This lovely family was celebrating their little beauty's 2nd birthday.  She is full of love, giggles, sillies and sweetness.

How could she not be full of all that with a wonderful family like this?!?!?!

Happy Birthday 'P'!

An Annual Family

I have been so blessed over the last 4 years to have such amazing clients who have trusted me from the very beginning with their family memories!  In addition to coming in for their kids milestones, this family does a family session each fall.  The kids grew so much over the last year!  Little Miss H is so tall and such a little lady and Mr D is full of typical 2 year old busy-ness and curiosity.  It was so great to see all of you again and I'm already looking forward to next time!

Each time I see them it reminds me of how thankful I am for everyone who comes in regularly and that they send their friends and family to see me too.  Seeing them last week got me very excited for the fall season when I get to see so many of you again.  The calendar is already looking busy and I cannot wait to catch up with everyone and see how much all the kids have changed since I saw you last!  If you haven't scheduled yet, don't worry there are still lots of openings in Oct and Nov.

Christmas Card Mini Sessions Are Coming!  On Nov 3rd and 10th from 10-3.  I am currently working on gathering items for the Christmas set this year (I found a fireplace mantel!).  More details will be coming soon.

Wedding in the country...

It is always a pleasure and an honor to share in a wedding day.  To say that spending the afternoon with Breann, Chris and their families was a pleasure just doesn't even begin to describe the experience for me!  They were all just so amazing, so happy and so fun!  There were lots of laughs and sincere tender moments.  So here they are:
